The western part of the monsoon trough at mean sea level continues to run close to the foothills of the Himalayas. However, the eastern end now passes through Forbesganj, Berhampore, Canning and thence southeastwards to Northeast Bay of Bengal.<\/p>\n

Heavy rain at isolated places very likely over Assam & Meghalaya, Odhisha and Tamilnadu. Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning very likely at isolated places over Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odhisha, Tamilnadu, Rayalaseema Coastal Andhra Pradesh and South Interior Karnataka.<\/p>\n

A low pressure area is likely to develop over central and adjoining North Bay of Bengal around 18th September. Heavy rains at isolated places very likely over Andaman & Nicobar islands. Rough to very rough sea conditions possible over Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal. Fishermen are advised not to venture into these areas.<\/p>\n

Chennai<\/strong> \u2013 A partly cloudy day with temperature maximizing around 35-36 C. Thundershowers possible in the evening.<\/p>\n

Madurai<\/strong> \u2013 Fairly hot day ahead with maximum temperatures of around 36 C. Thunderstorm formation likely in the afternoon around the city.<\/p>\n

Trichy<\/strong> \u2013 Searing heat on the cards as the mercury could rise up to 37 C. Showers likely in the evening.<\/p>\n

Coimbatore<\/strong> \u2013 Hot day followed by comfortable evening with maximum temperature of 33 C. Isolated Thunderstorms possible.<\/p>\n

Vellore<\/strong> \u2013 Warm day ahead with the temperature capping at about 35 C. Rains likely in the district in the afternoon.<\/p>\n
