The excessive thunderstorm events that have occurred this month in Tamil Nadu are not likely to recede as yet another rainy day awaits many regions of the state. Heavy thundershowers are also likely to occur in the adjoining regions of south interior Karnataka while Kerala continues to watch in rancour.
A few regions in Rayalaseema are also likely to witness spotty rains. Elsewhere, heavy rains are likely to continue in the states of West Bengal, Bihar and Jharkhand, under the influence of a lower tropospheric cyclonic circulation embedded in the monsoon trough.
