The trough of low at mean sea level over equatorial Indian ocean and adjoining south west Bay of Bengal persists. Coastal TN is well and truly back on track with near normal day max temperatures as sea based winds have taken control. Interiors still are on the grip of hot and dry conditions though the areas have seen a slight dip in temperature over the last few days. This is set to continue over the weekend.
Few showers possible over some parts of north eastern states. A fresh western disturbance is likely to affect the Himalayan region from 30th March.

Vellore: Few scattered clouds during the day break. Periods of warm sunshine. A day high of 36 degrees c. Nights will remain warm with a low of 26 degrees.
Tiruchirappalli: Another sunny day in the offing. A day high of 37 degrees and a low of 25 degrees.
Madurai: No respite from the heat seen over the region. Relative humidity should help the city to keep things comfortable. A day high of 38 and a low of 26 degrees.
Coimbatore: A cool and pleasant morning leaving way to periods of warm sunshine. A day max of 35 degrees and a manageable night with a low of 24 degrees.
