Fair possibility of Thunder showers over West/North TN

The South West Monsoon’s northern limit has not progressed further in the past 24 hours. But it is expected to advance into some more parts of North West India over the next 3-4 days. A Depression over North West Arabian Sea will continue to move away from Indian region towards Oman during the next 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the lush green Western Ghats will be receiving rains throughout the day under the influence of an active offshore trough. To the east, an active Monsoon Low is seen close to Odisha will ensure rains across east India. In the South, Tamil Nadu will remain partly cloudy during day time, with some rains expected later in the evening in north interior and coastal districts.
City Outlook:
Chennai – Mostly cloudy during the day time with a day high of 34 C. Rain chances persists in the late evening.
Coimbatore will remain very pleasant with maximum settling close to 28 C
Vellore will also see cloudy skies and the day time high will settle around 33 C. Rains can be expected later in the day.
Madurai to have a warm day with a day time high of 34/35 C.
Trichy will see a warm and humid day with a day time high of 34 C.
