Ongoing showers to persist across the peninsula

Many parts of peninsular India have received pre-monsoon showers in the last few days thanks to the surge of moisture from the seas. This trend will continue in the forthcoming days as land based heating increases leading to higher instability.
A large line of wind discontinuity, a typical pre-monsoon feature, continues across South TN, Interior Karnataka until Central Maharashtra. Thunderstorms bringing sharp showers or hail will continue across the interiors during late afternoon or evening times. The deadly heatwave over most of the country has abated owing to the change in direction of surface level winds.
Hail warning for Interior Telangana, Madhya Maharashtra, Northern Odisha and West Bengal
