Partly cloudy skies to persist

The equatorial Indian Ocean is getting busier with convective clouds filling up the Troposphere as a result of a couple of troughs in place with observed pressure changes at the mean sea level associated with each of them. One of the two, which was seen persisting close to the eastern equatorial Indian Ocean and the adjoining South Andaman Sea has developed a step further to take up the shape of a Low Pressure Area in the same region, which could bring in persistent cloudy weather and occasional rains over the Nicobar areas and the adjoining open waters. This, according to the Numerical weather prediction models, is expected to move closer to TN and Sri Lankan coasts in the days to come and is expected to bring along with it some showery conditions. Meanwhile, an other Trough of Low currently over Comorin area and the adjoining east central Arabian Sea off Goa will bring in cloudy weather and rains along Malabar and Kanara coasts. Increase in day time and night time temperatures is expected over parts of central and NW India along with foggy conditions across west UP.
