All eyes on the “Bay” as the system expected to take shape

A trough runs from Bihar to South Tamilnadu via East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, and interior Karnataka. Thunderstorms with squall possible in parts of East Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Dust/thunderstorm likely at isolated places over West UP, Haryana and Punjab. Heavy rainfall possible over isolated places in Sikkim, Himalayan Bengal, Assam and the other North Eastern states. Thunderstorms possible over parts of coastal Karnataka and Kerala. Isolated heat wave conditions likely over parts of Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Telangana and Rajasthan.
Light to moderate rainfall possible over isolated places in interior North Tamilnadu and parts of South Tamilnadu.
The upper air circulation which currently lies over Southwest Bay of Bengal off the Sri Lanka and adjoining equatorial Indian Ocean continues to persist.
This is likely to intensify into a low pressure area by tomorrow. Further intensification into a depression and movement is possible in the next 2 days. This area will continue to be closely watched for future updates.
