Rain spell awaits South TN from Sunday leading up to Wednesday

A Trough of low over central Arabian Sea off Karnataka coast would induce some light rain over coastal areas of Kerala in the next 24 hours. Tamilnadu to stay dry and hot. Another Trough of Low is present over equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining south east of Bay of Bengal.
This trough is expected to move further by getting the bay into some action mode in the coming days, Conditions are favorable for South Tamilnadu to have moderate to rather heavy rain earlier next week.

City Forecast:

Chennai – The sky condition likely to be partly cloudy. The maximum temperature is likely to be around 36 C with a high RH of 70. Nights will remain sultry with a low of 26 degrees C
Vellore – Partly cloudy and a scorcher of a day expected over the region.  Max temperature likely to be around 38°C with low humidity.
Madurai – Mostly sunny with low RH factor. Max temp to hover around 37°C and a minimum of 26 degrees.
Trichy-Mostly sunny with a high UV index.  Max temperature likely to be around 38°C. A low of 26 degrees.
Coimbatore- Few scattered clouds around the region. Day to remain warm and dry. A high of 36 and a low of 24 degrees C.
