After a small period of lull, rains are expected over KTCC districts again from today/tomorrow onwards. Thunderstorms are likely in many places over these regions for next 2 days.
Increase in rainfall over ktcc districts and coastal areas of Tamilnadu is expected from Saturday (the 8th October) owing to an approaching UAC/ weak low pressure. This rain is expected to last till Tuesday.
Northeast monsoon update
Top numerical models are indicating that easterlies are likely to make their way towards coastal Tamilnadu, coastal Ap by 14th of October. These easterlies will be associated with cyclonic circulation embedded in it. This would start bringing scattered spells from 14/15th.
As per the indications from top weather models, Northeast Monsoon rains may start over Tamilnadu and South Andhra Pradesh between 16-20 October.
