Rains to continue over South Tamil Nadu

A weak upper air cyclonic circulation persists over Lakshadweep & neighborhood. Another weak circulation persists towards east of Srilanka region.
Under their combined influence, South Tamilnadu districts would witness moderate rainfall activity in the next 24 hours.
Thunderstorms can be expected all along the districts bordering the Western Ghats and moderate showers awaiting many parts of Tuticorin, Theni, Madurai, Pudukottai and Sivaganga districts. Delta regions to witness ON and OFF showers. The weak High Pressure Area (HPA) persisting over North Tamilnadu would keep the weather pleasant and inhibit the rainfall activity.
