The Well marked Low Pressure Area (WML) that had brought in massive rains over north coastal Tamil Nadu is moving northwards and away slowly. The impact was such, north coastal TN got widespread rains and many places saw 24 hour rainfall exceeding 200 mm. Heavy rains over the next 24 hours will shift towards coastal Andhra Pradesh and parts of Rayalaseema. Tamil Nadu will continue to see scattered rainfall activity across many parts.
City Forecasts:
Chennai will remain cloudy with maximum temperature close to 29 – 30 C
Coimbatore can have some isolated rains with a day time high close to 30 C
Trichy will stay largely cloudy with a fair chance of rains at isolated places, and day time high to stay close to 31 C
Vellore will stay a bit comfortable at 29 – 30 C. Rains may occur in some places.
Madurai to see a partly cloudy sky, and maximum temperature will stay close to 32 C
