Heat wave conditions continues unabated across major parts of the country with every possible record being shattered. Bangalore for instance registered a day high of 39.2C which is the highest recorded max temperature ever. Bereft of any synoptic activity, major parts of the country continues to swelter under oppressive conditions and remain on a hot bed with absolutely no rain showers whatsoever.
Meanwhile the trough from Coastal Andhra Pradesh to South Tamilnadu across Rayalaseema persists. The spell of unrelenting heat will continue over AP, Telangana and North Interior TN. Regions around Vellore, Tirupatur, Tirupathi will continue to see above normal day time heating and oppressive conditions. Trichy, Salem and Madurai will see the mercury shooting up to 42 Degree Celsius. Some Relief Possible over Interior Karnataka and parts of Andhra from 28th April.

City Forecast:
Chennai – Heat spell likely to come down this week. A day high of 37 degrees and a warm and sultry night at 30 degrees.
Vellore – Another scorcher of a day in the offing. A day high of 42.5 degrees and an unbearable night at 30 degrees.
Tiruchirappalli – Uncomfortable day ahead. Max should hover around 42 degrees and a minimum of 29 over the district.
Madurai – A blazing day in prospect with no let up any where near. A high of 42 degrees and a low of 29 degrees.
Coimbatore – Pleasant Morning followed by dry and warm conditions. A day max of 38 and a minimum of 26 degrees over the area.
