Sizzling conditions will continue to prevail over interior Tamil Nadu

The anti-cyclone in the Bay of Bengal on interaction with the trough extending from an upper air cyclonic circulation over east central India creates wind confluence right from South Tamil Nadu via Kerala, South Interior Karnataka, Rayalseema, Telangana. The areas around these regions will see sudden burst of rains and some areas will also witness hailstorms. Meanwhile the temperature are soaring in the interior regions of Tamil Nadu with Karur 38.5 C, Madurai 38. C, Salem 38.8 C and Trichy 38.0 C

City Forecast

Chennai – Partly cloudy skies with max of 33-34 C and night will continue to warm with min around  25 C.

Kovai – Sizzling day on cards with Max to peak to 36-38 C and night temp will dip to around 25 C

Vellore – Fort city to see rise in day temperature to 37-38 C. Night will be relatively normal at 25 C.

Madurai & Trichy – Mini heat wave like conditions with mercury soaring to 38 C.
