Soaring heat to continue in Chennai and suburban areas

With Cyclone Roanu biting the dust, the north westerlies have been dominating Chennai wind pattern resulting in a spiked temperature of about 40 C.

Chennai – Tiruvallur – Vellore – Kancheepuram belt will witness the brute force of the soaring heat.

Chennai – Maximum temperature  to spike to 40 C with delayed sea breeze rescuing the city by 5.30 pm. Night will continue to be an uncomfortable one with the minimum staying at 30 C with high humidity. There is no chance for rains.
Madurai – Hot days to continue with day temperature peaking to around 40 C. Night temperature will continue to dip around 26-27 C with no chance of rains.
Coimbatore – With westerlies setting in, the textile city will see maximum around 35-36 C. Night temperature will be a pleasant 24 C with light chance of rains.
Trichy – Day Temperature will see mercury touching 38-39 C with night remaining warm at 28 C with no chance of rains.
Vellore – Fort city will continue to seeing a hot day with day temperature rising to 40-41 C and night temperature remaining warm at 28 C with nil rains.
