Another day of thunderstorms is likely amidst the summer heat as the evening will see several thundershowers in Tamil Nadu, particularly the northern part of the state. The neighbouring parts of Tamil Nadu, which include Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh could see wet weather too with thunderstorms in the interiors of Kerala and Karnataka, along with Rayalaseema in Andhra Pradesh.
A few thundershowers are likely to pop up in north east India, as well as the northern plains with isolated rainfall.
Heat wise, temperatures are likely to be slightly cooler compared to the previous days in the southern peninsula. Southern Tamil Nadu and some pockets of extreme north Tamil Nadu could potentially house the hottest parts of the state, with temperatures of around 39-40 C

Chennai – Hot day with partly cloudy skies, with a maximum temperature of 39 C. Showers possible in the evening.
Madurai – A rainy evening likely to follow a hot day that peaks at 38-39 C.
Trichy – Thundershowers possible in the district following a blazing evening with a maximum temperature of 38-39 C.
Coimbatore – A sunny day likely, though not too hot, with the mercury hitting 33-34 C at maximum. Showers possible in the district.
Vellore – Yet another hot day ahead with rains in the evening. Maximum temperature of 40-41 C.
