The much awaited South West Monsoon trying to break in over God’s own country

The much awaited South West Monsoon has further advanced over parts of South Arabian Sea, Maldives, Comorin area and some more parts of Southwest Bay of Bengal. The cross equatorial flow and deepening of westerlies over South Arabian Sea and the presence of a feeble off shore trough along Karnataka/ Kerala coast  should set the tune of monsoon onset over Kerala in few days’ time.
Meanwhile, evening thunderstorms would continue over North west TN and North Coastal TN. Thunderstorms likely over isolated places of Uttarakhand, West UP, Bihar and north eastern regions line Assam & Meghalaya.
City Outlook:
Chennai – A cloudy day to begin with sun trying to breakthrough around noon. A day high of 35 degrees and a low of 25 degrees.
Coimbatore – A glorious and windy morning with partly cloudy skies. A day high of 32 degrees and a low of 24 degrees.
Madurai -A reasonable morning. Warm afternoon with intervals of abundant sunshine. A high of 36 degrees and a low of 26 degrees. A spotty shower or two in the evening.
Trichy – No let up in the warm and uncomfortable conditions here. A day max of 37 degrees and a minimum of 27 on the cards. Few scattered showers possible.
Vellore – A balmy day break. Partly cloudy skies during mid day. A warm day with an high of 36 degrees and a low of 25 degrees. Late afternoon/evening Thunderstorms cannot be ruled out over the area.
