Under the Influence of an upper air cyclonic circulation over Lakshadweep and adjoining areas, Kerala will see increase in rainfall during next 24-36 hours. On the other hand, a few parts of Tamil Nadu would experience some showers. The areas like Kanyakumari, Tuticorin, and places near the Western Ghats would receive a heavy shower or two.
Interior parts of Tamil Nadu would face very high temperatures. Places like Salem, Tiruchirappalli, Vellore, Karur will touch 39-40 C with ease. Coastal parts of Tamil Nadu will be salvaged by easterlies and sea breeze.
City Forecast:
Chennai – City will see max temperature of 35-36 degrees Celsius. The sky is likely to be partly covered with clouds.
Vellore – Day temperature will peak at 39 degrees Celsius. Some cloud cover possible.
Tiruchirappalli – Another hot day possible. Maximum temperature could reach up to 38-39 degrees Celsius.
Madurai – Maximum temperature could reach 38 degree Celsius. Good Chances of thunderstorms in and around the city.
Coimbatore – Very good chances for thundershowers for the city. Max temperature would peak at 37 degree Celsius.
