Active Monsoon phase expected in West coast
Strengthening Westerlies keeps the monsoon active over west coast as the places all along Kerala Coastal Karnataka Goa and South Konkan has started receiving widespread rains. Further strengthening is expected over the weekend into next week when MJO is expected to arrive over the Indian Ocean. It’s expected to kick start the stalled monsoon progress over vast swathes of East India thereby putting an end to unseasonal heat the locales are enduring. Core Monsoon zones of Central India will start witnessing rains from next week.
In Tamil Nadu, seasonal sunny and windy conditions will continue with relatively less or no precipitation barring ghats of Nilgiris Coimbatore and Tirunelveli where rainfall activity will pick up again. Interior districts should see windy conditions becoming gusty at times.
