Scattered Thundershowers likely over South TN
As the South West Monsoon continues it’s delayed withdrawal, dry weather was observed over most parts of the country, with some areas over the Northern plains recording above normal day temperatures and parts of central India recording below normal night temperatures. Both maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to see a dip over the Northwest plains and Central India over the next couple of days.
An upper air circulation (UAC) lies over Meghalaya and another UAC lies over Kerala and Lakshadweep. Rainfall activity (Isolated heavy rainfall) is likely to be concentrated over Kerala, South TN, NE states and over the islands of Lakshadweep, Andaman-Nicobar. Further withdrawal of the Monsoon is likely in the next 2 days.
Moderate to heavy showers likely at isolated places over South TN and Western ghat areas.

Chennai – Partly cloudy sky with a maximum of 36 degrees and a minimum of 27 degrees.
Coimbatore – Mostly cloudy sky with a chance of light rain/thundershowers. Maximum of 33 degrees and a minimum of 22 degrees.
Madurai – A high of 37 degrees and a low of 25 degrees. Thundershowers possible later in the day.
Trichy – Partly cloudy skies with a chance of light rain. Maximum of 35 degrees and a minimum of 26 degrees.
Vellore – Above normal temperatures with a maximum of 36 degrees and a minimum of 26 degrees.
