Interiors to get a taste of summer

Under the influence of a strengthening low level ridge and disrupted easterly winds, interior parts of the state will see increased day time temperatures and summer like conditions over the next few days. Lack of winds and higher dew points are expected to cause uncomfortable conditions as compressed air dominates. Meanwhile, breezy conditions will continue across coastal areas thereby keeping the maximum temperatures in check.

City Outlook:

Chennai – Windy with a high of about 32 degrees and a low of about 24 degrees

Trichy – Clear and hot with a high of about 37 degrees and a low of about 22 degrees

Madurai – Bright      sunshine and summer like warmth to dominate. High of about 37 degrees.

Vellore – Calm and Sunny with a high of about 37 degrees and a low of about 19 degrees.

Coimbatore – Unseasonably hot with a high of about 37 degrees and a low of about 19 degrees.
