A Dry Friday in Tamil Nadu
TN will witness a dry phase today as no significant weather system is seen over the state.
The rains are expected to make a return to the northern districts of the TN by tomorrow which will also benefit the greater Chennai region. However Central and other districts of Tamil Nadu are expected to remain dry for a few more days.
The low pressure area over northern parts of east Madhya Pradesh and neighbourhood now lies as a well marked low pressure area over northern parts of central Madhya Pradesh & neighbourhood and the associated cyclonic circulation extends upto 7.6 km above mean sea level persists. Widespread rains will be confined to central India especially MP, Bihar & Chhatisgarh while it may be isolated in the western parts of the India.

Chennai – The sky condition is likely to be partly cloudy. Light rain may occur over northern suburban areas. Mercury may touch 35° C.
Vellore – Mostly cloudy with maximum temperature of 34° C with remote chances for rain.
Madurai – Partly cloudy and warm. Maximum temperature may settle around 36° C. Region may witness soaring heat.
Trichy – Partly cloudy with a maximum temperature of 36° C. Drizzle possible in the city during evening.
Coimbatore – Mostly cloudy and the max Temperature may be hovering around 32° C. The city may witness passing showers.
