North East Monsoon is all set to herald over South Peninsula
The persisting cyclonic circulations upto 3.1 km a.s.l. over South East Tamil Nadu and South East Arabian sea has flared up the flow of easterlies over the South Peninsula. As a result, these moist laden winds will usher in the much anticipated North East Monsoon rains over the South Peninsular India. Further, during the next fortnight, Retreating monsoonal flow is expected to surge and seasonal rains are bound to pick up its vigour and provide much needed downpours to quench the thirst for elixir of life in demand across Tamil Nadu, Kerala and adjoining peninsular region.
Subsequently, various International models have projected a fresh easterly wave emerging from Gulf of Thailand into Andaman sea during early November. This atmospheric disturbance may develop into a probable Tropical storm over the warm waters of Bay of Bengal as it moves close to the eastern coast of India during the second week of November.
