Isolated Showers likely over Coastal TN
The expected easterly wave is showing signs of marginal impact over coastal Tamil Nadu and this will result in scattered rainfall over South Tamil Nadu coast and chances of isolated rains over North Tamil Nadu coast. Rains are expected to extend into interior regions of TN with some sporadic showers. Numerical weather models forecasts do suggest a marginal increase in rainfall activity over coastal areas of Tamil Nadu in the coming week.
Moving up north seasonal cold wave conditions would prevail over parts of Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir. Minimum temperatures are likely to dip over Central and Eastern India in the upcoming days. Foggy conditions likely to engulf over the aforementioned regions.
City Outlook:
Chennai – Warm and humid with max settling at 31C and relatively dry day.
Vellore – Comfortable day with highs of 30C and a pleasant dry night to follow on.
Trichy – Tad warmer with a max of 31C. No chance of rains.
Madurai – Warm for December standards at 32/33C. No chance of precipitation.
Coimbatore – Partly cloudy with highs of 30/31C and chance of a shower or two.
