Isolated thunderstorms to resume in TN

While there has been a lull in terms of the convective showers across the state for the past few days or more, conditions turn favorable for evening thunderstorms – especially coastal TN and some parts of interiors in the coming days. In terms of the rest of the country, parts of Central India and West central regions may witness heavy rainfall due to the prevailing low whereas coastal areas of Konkan and Karnataka, Gangetic plains and north east may receive moderate to isolated heavy rainfall.

City Outlook

Chennai – Warm and cloudy ahead with max temperature settling around 36 degrees, good chance of thundershowers during the evening.

Vellore – Clear skies with max temp possible 35 /36 degrees, spotty showers are possible

Trichy – Cloudy skies and windy day with max temperature around 36c.

Madurai – A rather warm day with a day time max of 37 degrees.

Coimbatore – Mostly cloudy with a comfortable 32 degrees in the day followed by cloudy night.
