The wait for North East Monsoon continues

While there is still some uncertainty with respect to the onset conditions due to the present synoptic scenario, conditions turn favorable for increase in precipitation over TN. End to this hiatus seems near as light rains are possible in a few days over coastal TN and this could increase over the final few days of the month/beginning of November.  The rains would slowly pickup over coastal TN and south TN as we progress into this phase.

City Outlook:

Chennai – With Easterly winds in flow, temperature likely to be near 33 deg C with a slight increase in minimum temps.

Vellore – Mix of clouds and Sun with a day time high of about 33 deg C

Coimbatore – Cloudy weather with a possibility of some spotty showers.

Madurai – Winds keep temperature under check but with minimal chance of precipitation, highs could settle around 33 deg .

Trichy – Windy with a day time high of 33 deg followed by a pleasant night.
