Broiling conditions forecast for Interior Tamil Nadu
Simmering heat is expected to prevail over interior parts of Tamil Nadu and the shooting mercury levels in the past two days are the clear indication. Cities like Trichy, Madurai, Salem will see maximum temperatures soaring to 39/40C and dry warmth in the air lasting long into the evening. Nights are not going to be comfortable either in these places as lows will settle above 25C. Coastal areas, though milder than interiors, tend to be warmer than the normal readings suggest.
Isolated Thundershowers will dot places in South and Central Kerala, East and North East India. Heat wave conditions will be in effect for parts of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh spreading to parts of Saurashtra, Vidharbha and Telengana tomorrow. North West and Central India will trend warmer by 2C in the next 2-3 days.

Chennai – Getting warmer and max temperatures will touch 36C. Night will be very warm at 27C.
Vellore – Very warm and sunny weather to prevail with highs of 37C. Night tend to cool down a bit at 24C.
Trichy – Very hot and sunny as mercury will soar to 39C. Night will be very warm at 26C.
Madurai – Very hot and sunny as mercury settles at 40C. Warm night at 26C ensues.
Coimbatore – Very warm and sunny with highs of 37C. Warm night to follow with lows of 25C.
