Central and North west India braces for more rain
As the monsoon rain inundates many locations in Gujarat, Himachal , Odisha, Chattisgarh, Telangana, Maharashtra and Manipur, more rain is in the offing across several parts in these regions. The depression that is presently positioned near south Odisha /North AP coast is expected to move in land and cause heavy precipitation in Odisha, Chattisgarh, parts of North AP and Telangana over next couple of days. Besides many places in Konkan coast, South Gujarat and north coastal Karnataka could witness heavy spells due to the persistent off-shore trough in the Arabian sea coupled with the pull effect from the depression tracking inland.
As far as South India is concerned, places along the west coast and the Ghat regions may witness isolated heavy rains. Rain may continue to be isolated in Tamil Nadu, largely confined to the coastal areas atleast for the next few days.
