Extended break in monsoon brings cheers to TN
Convectional rainfall activity continues to be vigorous across most parts of TN, as is usually observed during break monsoon conditions. Numerical weather models indicate very favorable conditions for scattered moderate to heavy thunderstorms over the course of this week. Daytime heating coupled with synoptic mid to upper level conditions will boost intense slow moving storms in the interiors in central and delta districts.
Meanwhile, strong monsoon conditions are forecasted over parts of West Bengal, UP, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra and Indo Gangetic plains as an Upper Air circulation is expected to cut a swath through these areas.
