Fervent heat to continue
With no major influencing factors around, Tamilnadu continues to be in the vicious grip of omnipresent heat. But Trough in low level easterlies from Maldives area to Coastal Karnataka continues to elicit an unstable atmosphere in the Interiors of Southern Peninsula . Due to this, Thunderstorms might continue in the Western Districts & few areas near Ghats of southern districts of Tamilnadu, Kerala and South Interior Karnataka today.
Meanwhile Thunderstorms and heavy rains are forecast for Bihar, Orissa and West Bengal due to another Trough over Bihar to Chhattisgarh with embedded Upper Air Cyclonic circulations. Heavy rains are expected in some parts of Northeastern states of India too.

Coimbatore – Mostly sunny sky with a high of 38 degrees and a low of 25 degrees. Thunderstorms are expected in the vicinity.
Madurai – Another hot day with few clouds around. Maximum is expected to be around 40 degrees and a minimum of 27 degrees. District might see some showers.
Tiruchi – Hot day is expected with a Partly cloudy sky. High of 41 degrees and a low of 27 degrees.
Vellore – Another hot day with few cloud cover around. Maximum of 41 degrees and a minimum of 27 degrees. Thunderstorms are expected in the region.
