Mini Heat Wave to continue in interior Tamil Nadu
The interior regions bore the brunt of the mini heat wave with Karur, Madurai etc recording 39-40 C in last few days and same trend will continue for next few days. On the other side easterlies had kept the heat at bay in coastal places such as Chennai, Cuddalore and Nagapattinam with temperatures at mid 30s.
Meanwhile some pockets in Western districts and Ghat areas received thunderstorm rains and this thunderstorms will increase in coming days.
City Outlook:
Chennai – A warmer than normal day with a maximum of around 34-35°C and a minimum of around 25°C.
Madurai – A maximum of 38-39°C will continue to make things uneasy and oppressive.
Trichy – Hazy skies with a maximum of 38.5°C and a minimum of 24°C.
Coimbatore – Max Temperature may settle around 37°C and minimum of 24°C degrees.
Vellore – The maximum temperature likely to hit 39°C with a minimum continuing to be a tolerable 23-24°C.
