Northeasterly winds to lay foundation for the much awaited Monsoon rains
With the North easterly winds at the lower tropospheric levels, coastal and interior districts of Tamil Nadu are likely to enjoy the much needed monsoon rains. Thanks to the cyclonic circulation at Southeast TN and neighbourhood will result in moderate to heavy rains over Coastal, and South Interior / Coastal regions of TN.
Most parts of India are likely to remain dry, whereas, Kerala &adjoining areas of Andhra Pradesh and isolated places of Karnataka are to derive advantage from the North east monsoon rains.
City Outlook:
Chennai – A day with temperature around 32C and falling to 24/25C with intermittent showers likely.
Vellore – A warm day of maximum temperature around 30C and minimum of 25C likely. Fair chances of precipitation cannot be ruled out.
Coimbatore – Maximum temperature of 30-32C and minimum temperature around 23C with moderate to heavy rains likely.
Madurai – A day of temperature around 32C and minimum temperature of 24/25C with good chances of intermittent rains.
Trichy – Maximum temperature hovering around 33/34C and minimum temperature around 25C along with rains are on the cards.
