Precipitation likely over North TN with near Normal Temperatures

The monsoon is seen quite active over regions of Telengana, Vidharba and North eastern states. There is a likelihood of regions like coastal Karnataka, Coastal AP, North & South interior Karnataka joining the party. Meanwhile formation of a low pressure area looms large over west central & adjoining north west Bay of Bengal in the next 24 hours.

Near normal day highs are likely to prevail over TN with every chance of evening/ late thunderstorms to occur over isolated places of North/ coastal TN. Fair weather likely to prevail over rest of the regions of TN.

City Outlook:
Chennai: Another calm day with scattered cloud cover over the region. A warm afternoon with a near normal high of 34 degrees. Thunderstorms likely in the evening/ night.

Coimbatore: A gorgeous morning leaving way to periods of intermittent sunshine. A high of around 33 and a comfortable night at 21 degrees.

Madurai: A warm day in prospect with near normal day highs. A day max of 35 with a slight chance of a shower or two.

Trichy: Partly cloudy skies at day break  A high of 34 degrees.

Vellore: Generally cloudy. A slight dip in day time temperature on cards. Few showers cannot be ruled out later in the day. A high of 32 degrees.
