Precipitation over TN to diminish in the coming days

The cyclonic circulation between 1.5 & 3.6 km above sea-level over west-central Bay of Bengal off south Odisha and North Andhra Pradesh coasts will be moving inland by today evening. The trough from this cyclonic circulation to extend towards Konkan and Goa via Telangana and adjoining Rayalaseema. Another existing cyclonic circulation over South Interior Karnataka and neighbourhood between 5.8 and 7.6 km to become less marked. The east-west shear zone roughly running roughly along 15N between 3.1 & 3.6 km above sea level persists.

Under the influence of above synoptic conditions, the present ongoing moderate to heavy rains to continue over few places of Telangana, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, adjoining central-north Karnataka and Konkan & Goa.

Conditions over most parts of Kerala, Tamil Nadu and South Interior Karnataka to be remained cloudy/dry during next 1-2 days.

Coimbatore – Partial cloudy with expected maximum temperature around 33oC and minimum around 23oC. Passing clouds in the evening.

Madurai – Clear skies with expected maximum temperature around 34oC and minimum around 24oC. Partial cloudy in the evening.

Tiruchi – Clear skies with expected maximum temperature around 35oC and minimum around 25oC. Chance of Isolated showers in the evening.

Vellore –  Cloudy and humid with expected maximum temperature around 33oC and minimum around 27oC. Chance of Isolated thundershowers in the evening.
