Rainfall likely to commence over Tamil Nadu, as the remnants of Cyclone Kyant approaches
The Cyclone Kyant, which has weakened into a low pressure area is likely to approach Tamil Nadu today and provide much needed rains. Moderate to rather heavy rains are likely to lash over North coastal Tamil Nadu. As the low pressure moves more southwest wards, rainfall activity likely to increase over Central and south Tamil Nadu.
The much awaited North monsoon is likely commence over Tamil Nadu and adjoining areas during next 24 – 48 hrs. Meanwhile Global models picks up an low pressure area over southeast bay which puts the Bay under continuous watch.

Coimbatore – Day temperature to hover around 34C and a pleasant night time temperature.
