Rainfall over interior parts of TN set to persist

Under the influence of an extended trough, most parts of state will continue to see thunder showers with higher chances in the interiors. Steady easterlies will moderate the daytime temperatures across coastal areas. Numerical weather models indicate a reduction to this precipitation pattern in the next few days.

Chennai – Sunny and humid with a high of about 33 degrees with chance of an isolated thunderstorm.

Vellore – Clear day with a high of about 35 degrees with thunderstorms developing over the evening.

Madurai – Very warm with high of about 35 degrees. Chance of thunderstorms on this day.

Trichy – Partly cloudy and warm with a high of about 35 degrees and a low of about 25 degrees. Chance of thunderstorms developing mainly during the later part of the day

Coimbatore – Warm and humid along with good possibility of thunderstorms. High of about 34 degrees.
