Rains expected to wane across Tamil Nadu

Low pressure area over Odisha will move westward towards Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh during the next 24 hours. This is likely to weaken the extended trough which brought abnormal rain activity across TN. Due to this weakening trough, rains are likely to reduce across the state.
Isolated thundershowers are likely over north Tamil Nadu and Rayalaseema and at a few places over south interior Karnataka.

Chennai – Cloudy sky during the day. Few spells of rain or thundershowers likely during evening or night. Maximum temp of 34 c and Minimum temp of 25 c.

Vellore – Rain or thundershowers likely by evening or night. Maximum temp to touch 33 c and the minimum will settle at 26 c.

Coimbatore – Few spells of rain expected during evening. Max temp will be at a comfortable 32 c and Min of 22 c will make for a great evening.

Tiruchirappalli – Will remain hot during the day with Max temp to reach 36 c .Min temp will be around 26 c.

Madurai – Partly cloudy sky likely. Light rain possible. Maximum temp likely to be around 35 c and minimum to be around 26 c.
