Rains to continue in Southern Peninsula

There is an Upper Air Cyclonic circulation now lying over interior Odisha. There is a trough from this cyclonic circulation to south Coastal Karnataka going across Telangana, Rayalaseema and South Interior Karnataka. A couple more UAC’s are present, one over western UP and another over East Central Arabian Sea. Under the influence of instability created by these systems, Heavy rain are expected at isolated places over Gangetic West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha, Vidarbha, Madhya Maharashtra, Konkan, Goa, Telangana, South Interior and Coastal Karnataka.
Medium to Heavy rains are also expected in North interior and North coastal Tamil Nadu as a spillover from the abovementioned weather pattern.  Meanwhile, The monsoon withdrawal line continues to pass through Uttarkashi, Agra, Shivpur Kalyan, Gandhi Nagar, Dwarka, Lat. 22°N/Long. 65°E and  Lat. 22°N/Long. 60°E.

City Outlook:

Chennai – A warm and humid day with expected maximum of around 33 degrees and a minimum of 24 degrees. Thunderstorms are expected in the evening/Night.

Coimbatore – A balmy day with fast moving clouds. A high of 32 degrees and a low of 21 degrees temp is expected.

Madurai – A Partly cloudy day & Maximum temp around 36 degrees and a minimum of 25 degrees.

Tiruchi – A hot and humid day with few clouds. Expected Temp – High of 36 degrees and a low of 26 degrees.

Vellore – A Partially cloudy sky with a Maximum of 32 degrees and a minimum of 24 degrees temp. Thunderstorms are expected in the evening.
