Rampant storms in east, isolated thunderstorms down south

Odisha, West Bengal, Bihar and North eastern states comes under the purview of spicy conditions required for thunderstorms to thrive, in the form of low level convergence and upper level jets. Severe thundersqualls and heavy rains are forecast for aforementioned places and one must avoid outdoors during lightening event. Northern plains(including Delhi) comes under the renewed rain activity in the form of western disturbance targeting the proximities.

Down South, interiors of Tamil Nadu will witness isolated thundershowers(less intense than yesterday) aided by the instability, availability of moisture and heat. Temperature settings continue to remain summerish in most parts of the state with an exception of places adjoining ghats. Parts of Kerala and North Coastal Andhra Pradesh will be amongst the Thundershowers.

Chennai – Hot and sunny with temperatures settling at a max of 37C and min of 27C.

Vellore – Very hot and sunny with high max of 41C. Night will be warm at 27C.

Trichy – Hot and sunny with mercury settling at 41C/27C. Isolated rains are possible in the district.

Madurai – Hot and partly cloudy with temperatures ranging 40C/26C. Isolated rains are possible in the district.

Coimbatore – Warm and sunny with highs of 35C and lows of 23C. Isolated rains will occur in the vicinity.
