Relentless Monsoon in Kerala and Coastal Karnataka, Rains Extending to Konkan Coast

Situation Continues to worsen in Kerala as more and more rains hit the state. Kochi Airport is expected to be closed for the next 10 days. Looks like there is some Respite for Kerala starting from Tomorrow. Rains are expected to Decrease. Rains are expected to Extend towards the Konkan coast today. Parts of Gujarat along with Maharashtra is expected to get rains from the Remains of the Depression which moved West-NorthWest over East Vidarbha during the past 6 hours . In Tamilnadu, ghats of Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Theni, Tirunelveli and Kanyakumari will see decent rains owing to active monsoon in neighborhood. Except the Ghats, The state is expected to see Warm Sunshine with Possible chances of Thundershowers over Isolated regions in the later part of the day.

City Outlook:

Chennai – City likely to see Partly cloudy skies with a slight possibility of  light showers in the evening. Max Temp of 35C and a Minimum of 26C is likely.

Vellore – Likely to witness Partly cloudy skies with sunshine. Max Temp expected to be around 35C and a Min of 25C.

Coimbatore – Intermittent Light Rains in the city throughout the day with a Max of 27C and a Min of 22C.

Trichy – Mostly Cloudy skies with a chance of a brief Shower in the later part of the day. Max Of 35C and a Min of 28C.

Madurai – Mostly cloudy with a Chance of  Brief showers. Max of 34C and a Min of 27C.
