Monsoon Swansong to lash Central India
Vigorous rains which lashed Mumbai and parts of Konkan will ease as the causative cyclonic circulation moved further north towards North Konkan and South Gujarat. Active phase of monsoon now takes aim at Central India thanks to a low pressure area spinning over North Chhattisgarh. Extremely heavy falls are forecast for West Madhya Pradesh and Vidharbha. These rains will prove to be handy to gulf the deficit for Central zones right at the end of the seasonal rains. Rains in west coast will take a sharp dip in the coming days.
In Tamil Nadu very warm conditions are likely to prevail in purview of clear skies dominating for most of the day in conjunction with dry westerlies blowing across the state. Coastal areas will be a tad warmer than interior parts of the state due to the prevailing winds. Barring ghats in adjoining Kerala, chance of precipitation is very less in most parts of the state and the scenario is expected to prevail till the weekend.

Chennai – Clear skies and very warm with highs of about 35C. A dry end to the day is expected.
Vellore – Sunny and warm with max of 34C with no chance of precipitation.
Trichy – Clear and very warm with temperatures settling at 35/36C. No chance of rains.
Madurai – Very warm weather will continue as temperature scales 35/36C with no chance of rains.
Coimbatore – Breezy and a pleasant day with max of 32C .
