Scattered thundershowers likely over TN

Convectional rainfall is expected to continue across the state on Tuesday as a lower level trough continues to exist as a line of wind discontinuity. Due to increasing instability caused by summertime heating, some of these storms will continue to be violent with sharp downpours along with hail and downburst winds. Interiors will continue to see daytime max temperatures between 38-40 degrees along with oppressive night time temps with literally no wind to save the day.
Additionally, thunderstorms could form near coastal areas on this day due to favorable wind conditions leading to localized convergence.
