Seasonal weather likely to continue in TN

Normal to Slightly above normal maximum temperatures is possible over Interior Tamil Nadu. Afternoon/ Evening Thunderstorms possible in parts of interior and Coastal TN.

Meanwhile, the offshore trough at mean sea level from north Maharashtra coast to Kerala coast persists. Due to this moderate to heavy rainfall expected over west Coast and western Ghat areas. The Northern Limit of Monsoon (NLM) passes through Lat.20.5N/ Long.60E, Lat.20.5N/ Long.70 (Valsad, Nasik, Buldana, Nagpur, Patna and Lat.27N/Long.85E). Conditions are favourable for further advancement of South West Monsoon during next 4-5 days.

Chennai – Partly cloudy skies with max temperature settling around 37C. Isolated Thunderstorms Possible.

Vellore – Warm day on cards with maximum temperatures settling around 36-37C. After Thunderstorms Possible.

Trichy – Clear skies and warm day with maximum temperature Possible around 39C. Possible Evening showers.

Madurai – Hot day ahead and max temperature may touch 38C.

Coimbatore – Comfortable weather with max temperature possibly around 32C. Light rains possible.
