Storm over bay intensifies, as the nation mourns the demise of the Iron lady leader
North East monsoon has been relatively active during this month with many parts of TN seeing light to moderate beneficial showers. Meanwhile, the storm over Bay of Bengal continues to develop with numerical models indicating that it will intensify further as it continues moving towards the Indian coast. In the interim, seasonal weather with warm daytime temperatures and pleasant nights is expected across most parts of the state with few isolated thundershowers.

Chennai – Partly cloudy skies with a high of about 30 degrees and a low of about 25 degrees.
Vellore – Partly cloudy with a high of about 29 degrees and a low of about 18 degrees.
Madurai – Very warm and sunny with a high of about 32 degrees.
Trichy – Lots of sunshine and warm with a high of about 31 degrees and a low of about 19 degrees.
Coimbatore – Mostly cloudy with few light showers. High of about 29 degrees.
