Strong westerlies to escort thunderstorms to interior TN

The monsoon has been ushering good rains over north interior Karnataka and the west coast with some good spells over Telangana  as well. Westerlies blowing with their might  will trumpet sustained rainfall all along the west coast . Parts of West interior TN, Telangana and Deccan may witness isolated spells. Isolated thunderstorms are possible over north Tamil Nadu as well  towards the latter part of the day.

City Outlook:

Chennai – Warm and cloudy with maximum of 34/35C. Isolated thundershowers are possible during the evening.

Vellore –  Mix of sun and clouds with maximum around 35 deg. Thundershowers possible during afternoon/evening.

Trichy – Warm day with temperatures in the range of 34/35C with slight chance for rains.

Madurai – Sunny and warm with a day time high of 34/35C followed by a warm night. Spotty thundershowers are possible during the afternoon.

Coimbatore – Gentle day with clouds at 32/33C with isolated showers through the day which could continue overnight.
