Tamilnadu to continue to have sweltry heat under withering Sunrays

“Maarutha”, the first Tropical Cyclone of North Indian Ocean basin has crossed the coast of Burma yesterday night. Tamilnadu didn’t receive a drop of rain from this system and the altered wind direction over Peninsular southern India will worsen the already existing heat conditions.

Vertical sunrays will beat on Tamilnadu mercilessly today. With most of the interior districts scoring 40 degrees Celsius and above for the past few days, today also the same pattern would be repeated. A few thunderstorms are expected in the region around Western ghats.

Meanwhile, Thunderstorm accompanied with sqaull is very likely over a few places in the Northeastern states of India. Extreme North and Northwestern states will continue to reel under a scorching sun with heat wave conditions in most of the places.
