Warm and Sunny weather to continue

After the recent spurt in Thunderstorms over North interior and Western interior TN, rainfall activity is expected to be subdued until early next week when the upper level westerly trough is expected to dip over south peninsular India. Meanwhile, seasonal weather to continue over most parts of the state with warm and sunny conditions expected to prevail.

Hot conditions during the daytime may prevail over few places in Karur, Salem, Madurai and Trichy districts. One or two places close to the western ghats of the state may receive isolated Thunderstorm during late afternoon/evening in the next 48 hours.

City Outlook:

Chennai – Partly cloudy with Day highs hovering around 34 degrees.

Coimbatore – Few clouds around. Day high expected to peak around 36 degrees with chance of late evening thunderstorm.

Madurai – Another scorcher of a day in the offing. Day max may settle at 38/39 degrees.

Trichy – A hot, blazing day to expect with day highs remaining around 38 degrees.

Vellore – Partly cloudy skies, getting warmer by the day. Day high could scale up to 37 degrees.
