Heavy Rains to return from Sunday

The Trough of Low Pressure lies over South East Bay of Bengal and this is expected to become a Low Pressure Area (LPA) in the next 24 to 48 hours. A Rain Cloud front will get the Coastal TN back into Business as a precursor from tonight and the spells could become heavier from Sunday.

This LPA needs close monitoring as it has the potential to increase the intensity of rains to Coastal TN from next Monday. Weather Analysis models differ on the intensity and the direction of this system. But there is a consensus that Very Heavy rains will be seen on Monday and Tuesday, next week.

City Forecasts
Chennai – Light to Moderate Rain possible in some Places. Temperature is expected to peak upto 30C.

Vellore – Will see Some Rains around Evening or night. Temperature will reach 29-30C.

Madurai – Heavy rain possible In Isolated places. Temperature will be around 31C.

Tiruchirappalli – Chances for Temperature to reach 30C with some more chances of rain.

Coimbatore – light chances for rain. Temp will reach around 28C.
