Merged Trough to show its power

The trough of low over South West  Bay near Srilanka has merged with the another trough of low over South East Bay of Bengal and adjoining South Andaman sea.It has moved westwards and lies over southwest Bay of Bengal and surrounding area. As other supporting weather conditions are not helping this system as of now, LPA formation is stalled and doubtful .Combined trough over Bay is expected to move further westwards and pour heavily over the north coastal areas of Tamilnadu including Chennai ,north Interior Tamilnadu and Coastal Andhra Pradesh today. Further heavy to very heavy rain is expected over Northern Tamilnadu for 3 days.

Rain/Snow would occur at isolated places of Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh.

Chennai – Intermittent heavy downpour over many parts of city. Max Temp would  be around 29c
Vellore – Heavy rain with Thunderstorm expected over the area. Max temperature may touch 30c
Madurai – Cloudy conditions expected in city with light showers. Max temperature may touch 30c.
Trichy – Sporadic thunder showers expected around noon. Max Temperature would be around 30c
Coimbatore – Light to medium rain possible in day/evening. Max Temperature would be around 28-29c
