Summer rains to continue over Sun bathed peninsular India
At last some much needed respite for the regions of Peninsular India in the form of severe thunderstorm lashing the sun bathed areas of the said region. The wind discontinuity/ trough from south West Madhya Pradesh to extreme south peninsular India across interior Karnataka & interior Tamilnadu with an embedded upper air cyclonic circulation over Vidarbha & adjoining Marathawada and Telangana is seen causing the instability and the resultant rains. Larger areas of Kerala, south interior Karnataka, West Interior TN have received the typical Summer splash thunderstorms and its likely to continue over the weekend. The said conditions would continue over regions of Telangana, Vidharba, Marathvada and Madhya Maharashtra. Fairly widespread rains are likely over South interior Karnataka and Kerala. Late afternoon/evening thundershowers would continue over west interior regions, central and North TN.
