Heat to ebb across TN

Heatwave conditions likely to prevail over isolated parts of West Rajasthan. The Line of Wind Discontinuity (LWD) is now seen from Vidharbha to South Interior Karnataka across Telangana and North Interior Karnataka triggering scattered thunderstorms/squall. Dust storms/ thunderstorms with squall may be expected over West Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.
Interior Tamil Nadu may see scattered thunderstorm activity with isolated heavy rains over the next couple of days whereas the coastal regions can expect only isolated light rainfall activity. Heavy rain is also likely over Kerala. Temperatures across Tamil Nadu will continue to be within tolerable levels during the next two days.
A Low Pressure Area is expected to form over South West Bay of Bengal and adjoining Equatorial North Indian Ocean around 14th. Its movement and any signs of its intensification must be closely watched in the coming days. Stay tuned for daily updates.

Coimbatore – The hot days have now become thing of the past. Maximum of around 36 degrees and a minimum of 24 degrees is forecasted. Thunderstorms can be expected over some pockets.
Vellore – A partly cloudy sky with the maximum of 39 degrees and a minimum of 28 degrees.
